Advanced Placement, commonly referred to as AP, is a program that offers high school students the chance to receive university credit for their work during high school. AP courses follow a syllabus developed by the College Board and aim to prepare students for the AP Exam.
Students have a variety of advanced placement (AP) courses available to them. These courses are designed for highly motivated students who demonstrate strength in a particular curricular area. AP courses provide more challenging course work and the opportunity to take a final examination in May that can lead to college credit.
